Alfa Unique Features

Alfa Motorhomes are known for their tall interior ceilings at 7.5 feet, deep slides, multiple windows, basement air conditioning and heat and tight turning radius. The Gold Series has as standard, an electric bay slide tray, a standard basement freezer, electric power cord reel, larger tank capacities, a floor heating system in addition to  other features.

We are the second owner of our 2006 Alfa See Ya Gold model.

The original owner bought it new 2006 and we purchased it from him in June of 2025. He kept it in enclosed storage the previous 5 years before we purchased it. Seller immediately disclosed to us that due to a suspected improper oil and filter change by a service center on the road, the engine failed a couple of months after the suspect oil change occurred (2021). He had a crated used engine installed by his local diesel shop and all appears to be well. Stated the engine cost was $25K which sounds about right. The Engine and Transmission perform perfectly.

Our initial intentions were to go fulltime this spring, but our residential housing situation has changed, as well as some health and family commitments.

NOTE: This is a 95% or more POX free Alfa motorhome!

Mechanical Work Last Fall:

We had new slide seals installed on all 3 slides, two NEW hydraulic front jacks installed, new LED headlights, new LED dimmable scare lights, new outside step motor and gearbox, new generator belt installed on the 7.5 Generac generator and works fine. The water heater tank back flushed and new plug installed. I have removed some weathered decals and have waxed the MH. (Ronnie Wolfe (the wonder man) did the jacks, water heater, slide seals, generator belt, headlights and battery combination. Also replaced a relay in the inverter under the steps.)

Interior updates:

Removed all the original valences and blinds. Installed blackout drapes and pulldown shades. Removed all the living room area carpet with no signs of any prior water damage. Installed a ¼” subfloor and glued and screwed down to the existing 3/4" plywood flooring so the new vinyl plank flooring would be level with the existing ceramic tile hallway. All cabinets and walls have been painted. Installed a electric fireplace with blower. Added a remote TV riser behind the fireplace with a flatscreen TV. For extra countertop space I added a pullout drainboard of the same material as the countertops. Removed all the original heavy furniture and replaced it with a fabric sofa, wicker chairs and a round dining table. Bedroom has been updated with new décor (original carpet is still in the bedroom).

Mechanical Features:

Basement air conditioning and heat work well. Previous owner had a roof AC installed. It worked when we first got it, but I was told that a starter motor was bad. We were going to get it fixed but just haven’t yet. Dash air works well and if necessary the generator can run the house air and heat while traveling.  Adjustable pedals, and steering wheel. Cruise control. Cummins engine and Allison 6 speed transmission. Engine brake. Electric power cord reel. Electric interior step well cover. Remote door lock. One automatic storage bay slide, other two are manual. Original AC DC freezer in second bay slide. All six house batteries are in good condition and properly filled. Has a floor heating system (I’ve never turned it on). Installed new toilet seal and mechanical pump mechanism. All slide work as designed. Don’t know the dates on the tires, I believe they are 2021 but the tread is good and no noticeable check marks or weathering.

Recent Maintenance:

We had engine oil changed along with associated oil and fuel filters at a recognized fleet maintenance company, other fluids were topped off as well. Front tire valves replaced and front tires balanced. Central heat & AC in house air filters were cleaned. Replaced the windshield washer hoses to the wipers and washer fluid reservoir and pump works as designed. Automatic storage bay switch fixed. Removed the “Gold” decal on the front and compounded and waxed the front, passenger's side and rear.
