This is a 40' 2006 Alfa See Ya Gold, Floor Plan 1002, with approximately 76,000 miles and powered by a 400 HP Cummins diesel. For those not familiar with the Alfa See Ya Gold, these coaches are known for their 7'6" ceilings, exceptionally large 42" living-area slide-outs, and massive windows, creating a very open interior compared with many coaches of this era. This coach has the large main living-room slide on the driver's side plus two bedroom slides.

 

INTERIOR UPDATES

• New vinyl plank flooring throughout the living area. I installed a subfloor over the original 3/4" plywood floor so the new flooring would finish flush with the existing ceramic tile.

• Fresh interior paint

• New manual pump installed on the toilet

• Electric fireplace with blower installed

• Remote-controlled TV lift with flat-screen TV that lowers behind the fireplace

• Original valences removed and replaced with blackout drapes and/or shades

• Large living-room slide on the driver's side

• Two bedroom slides, including the bedroom/closet slide with sliding glass doors and cedar-lined closet

MECHANICAL & MAINTENANCE
A lot of work has been done during our ownership:

• Two new hydraulic leveling jacks installed in the front

• New seals on all three slides

• New exterior step motor and gearbox

• Engine oil, oil filter and fuel/water separators changed less than 1,000 miles ago

• Front tires balanced

• Water heater back-flushed

• New LED headlights

• New belt installed on the Generac generator

• House batteries are 2023 batteries and have been properly maintained and kept topped off

• Batteries have been combined at the inverter

• Remote door locks

• Basement heat and A/C work great

ENGINE & GENERATOR

The coach has approximately 76,000 miles. I want to be completely transparent about the engine history. We purchased the coach from the original owner, who told us the engine had been replaced approximately five years before our purchase at a cost of around $25,000. He said the original engine failure occurred after an improper oil change while traveling and the engine subsequently froze up.

 

We've personally taken the coach on several trips since purchasing it, and the engine and Allison Transmission runs perfectly. I'm including this information because I believe buyers should know the history of a coach before purchasing it.

 

The 7.5 KW Generac generator runs great.

 

AIR CONDITIONING

The previous owner had a roof A/C unit installed, and that particular unit is currently not coming on. The basement A/C and heat work great, and the basement system is more than adequate for the coach as designed.

 

ROOF / EXTERIOR

The roof is in good condition. I was planning to re-caulk along the front and rear caps as part of normal roof maintenance but simply haven't gotten around to it. No significant "pox." The tires are believed to be 2021 or 2022. They have good tread and I do not see checking or cracking in the rubber.

 

STORAGE & FEATURES

• One electric storage bay; remaining bays are manual

REFRIGERATOR

The refrigerator recently stopped working. It may be repairable, or the buyer may choose to replace it. The $42,500 price reflects an allowance for the refrigerator and other repairs and/or shortcomings.

 

This is a 20-year-old coach and reflects normal age-related wear and exterior finish.

 

STORAGE HISTORY

The coach was stored in enclosed storage when we purchased it and has been kept in covered storage during our approximately two years of ownership.

 

WHY ARE WE SELLING?

This isn't a sale because we're unhappy with the coach. Quite the opposite. This is our second Alfa in the last 10 years, and we love these coaches. We've enjoyed the RV lifestyle and have put considerable time and money into maintaining and updating this one. At this point, however, physical limitations and commitments associated with our other real estate are leading us to downsize. That's the only reason we're selling.

 

The price is intentionally set to allow for the refrigerator and any other repairs or shortcomings the next owner may want to address.
